Unlike casual clothes that are fun and flexible to put together, work clothes are a bit more conservative. The reason is obvious. The work place is certainly no place for frivolities.
Everything serious comes to place in the work place. It is for this reason that work clothes often come in conservative colours, black, grey, navy blue etc.
Because you are assessed by how you dress, the suit; trouser or skirt is just the ideal outfit for the workplace. It helps you make a solid first impression. A well carefully picked suit, helps to set you apart, make you look more put together, confident and create the impression that you work in a professional capacity.
With emphasis on fit, ensure that your suit fits you well and in current trend. If you find this look too heavy, a nice shirt tucked in a pair of trousers will do. In extreme cases, you can play down the corporate look with a little black dress dressed up with a cardigan or cropped jacket. Accessorise with a classy three-inch-black pump-something not too high or too low. The peep toe is also very nice as it gives you room to display well manicured nails.
Finish the look with a nice work bag black or brown and if you carry a laptop, choose one of those really feminine laptop bags that help to add extra effect to your ensemble.
