Nollywood star-actress, Omotola Jolade-Ekeinde and her airline Captain hubby, Matthew Ekeinde are rarely spotted walking hand-in-hand at social functions.

But last Sunday proved to be different. On that fateful day,  Valentine’s Day, the couple were not only spotted walking  hand-in-hand at a celebrity function, they embarked on a public proclamation of their undying love to each other.

Omotola and her hubby were guests at a special show put together for couples to mark the Val Day tagged, “Diamond Ball2. The show, organized by Black Butterfly Events Company,  held at Welcome Centre and Hotels, along  Int’l Airport Road, Lagos.

Looking like lovebirds who were on nestling spree, Omotola and her hubby, as well as Zack Orji and his wife,  Ngozi ,were the cynosure of all eyes at the well-attended event.

Omotola’s single_strapped black mini_gown dress was well complemented by Captain Ekeinde’s black blazers on cream coloured pants. While Zack Orji opted for a brown blazer with a jean, Ngozi his wife who wore a designer dark goggles went for a black mini_gown.

One of the highpoints of the event was a short dance by the celebrity couples to Onyeka Nwenu’s evergreen hit, “One Love.”

Captain Ekeinde and  Ngozi Orji proved exceptional as they strut their stuff much to the delight of the audience who kept asking for more. The Orjis also emerged one of the winners of February couples dance competition.

Omotola’s hubby  took everybody by surprise as he hugged and kissed  his beautiful actress  while on stage  to the admiration of the audience.

Highlights of the occasion included raffle draws which saw winners walking away with various prizes such as Dana Air return ticket to Abuja, furniture by Home Makers, spa and massage treatment, weekend at Welcome Centre Hotels, shopping date at Twice and Nice and perfumes by Tara among others. For their exemplary life as couples, the two celebrity couples received an award of recognition from BlackButterfly Events.

While presenting the award, Glory Adeyemi, project coordinator, said, “In spite of the popularity of celebrity divorce cases, the two couples have become an example of commitment to numerous young Nigerian couples.” Also in attendance were Bimbo and Tunde Oloyede, Ex-BBN housemate, Frank and Edna Konwea and gospel singer, Liza C and hubby.
