Group flays threat to attack oil installation

A group, the Egbema Political Collective Agenda, EPCA, has condemned the threat to attack Chevron’s installation in Olero flow station in Delta State.

In a statement in Asaba weekend, the group said it was aware of threats to the installation  and warned all those behind the threats to desist from such act, adding that those with genuine grievances should channel them through their leaders to Chevron.

The statement, signed by the President, Secretary General and PRO of the group, Comrade Hosanna Fetimi, Mr Evans Oniyeburutan and Mr Wilfred Elebiri respectively, said, “Now that peace is coming back to the Niger Delta, we all have to embrace the peace and not fuel unnecessary crisis in the region. We should protect what belongs to us.”

The statement urged youths in the state to support the present peace process and appealed to the security agencies to be responsible in their duties of securing the lives and property of Deltans.
