NPL Election: NUJ Leads Elder Oyewole campaign

The Nigeria Union of Journalists Oyo State Council has declared its overwhelming support for the candidature of Elder Bode Oyewole as representative of the South West on the Board of the Nigeria Premier League at the March 2010 election of the league body.

In a reply to Oyewole’s request for support, the NUJ stated that the veteran journalist had distinguished himself as a thoroughbred professional and will turn out to be an invaluable asset to the NPL.

“It’s interesting that you are gunning for the South West seat where you have laboured in the past and performed creditably to the admiration of all and even your adversaries,” the NUJ stated in a letter signed by its secretary, Cosmas Oni.

“Your antecedents as former Oyo State NUJ chairman, former Chief Press Secretary to Oyo State government, as well as Chairman Oyo FA and Chairman 3SC have convinced us that you are indeed the right person to represent the South West on the NPL Board.
