Martins in great form

Obafemi Martins was in furious form at training on Sunday morning as the Eagles had their last training session beside their Hotel Praia Morena in Benguela before this morning´s departure to Lubango.

The 25-year-old was brightest and most hard working in training a day after his arrival from United Kingdom, where he had gone to appear in a court case involving him and NVA Management, his former advisors, over a pay dispute.

The former Inter Milan of Italy and Newcastle of England rapid raider is expected to start Wednesday´s must-win Group C tie against the Mambas of Mozambique at the 20,000 capacity Tundavala Stadium in Lubango.

Nigeria need a win in that game to be sure of a place in the competition´s last eight.

Martins´two goals helped Nigeria edge Kenya 3-2 in a crucial 2010 World Cup qualifying match in Nairobi mid-November and eventually saw Nigeria qualifying for the World Cup finals in South Africa.
