Godwin Ehigiamusoe, Executive Director LAPO, a micro-finance institution based in Benin City, has given reasons for low performance of micro-finance banks in Nigeria year 2009 and also forecasts a better future for the industry in 2010.

I am just someone serving my own country and I derive joy for doing so without any hope of acquiring anything from there.

A middle aged woman, Aduni Akere, has told an Agege grade ‘A’ Customary Court that she wants her marriage dissolved because she could no longer stand her husband’s constant beating. She said that apart from beating her, her husband also threatened to strip her naked in public.
