Have faith in God, Ezeala urges Nigerians

By Lucky Orji
LAGOS — FOUNDER of Dayspring Foundation, an NGO that caters for the needy and cancer patients, Mrs. Udy Okey Ezeala, has called on Nigerians to have faith, saying with God, nothing was impossible.
Speaking at a thanksgiving service to mark her healing from a breast cancer at World Base Assembly, Okota-Isolo,  Mrs. Ezeala, said the only thing required to receive a miracle was faith in God.

According Mrs Ezeala, she first detected traces of the disease in 2006 and was treated in Nigeria only for it to resurface in a deadly form in March this year, when she was flown to Max Hospital in India. After the battle to save her life, the doctor handling the case gave up on her, explaining that she will not make it.

“After the report by the doctor, I wanted to ask God why me? But I refused to do that, but rather ask God which way forward. Each day, I will pray confessing my sins, the ones I know and the ones I didn’t know, but the devil continued speaking to my mind that look, you cannot be healed. I began to study the word of God and realised that God never planned death for me,” she said.

She explained that though the pain was much, she believed that God has delivered her. She now went back to same hospital and was certified completely healed. The doctor, who she said was an Hindu, could not believe what happened.

saying ‘it is medically unexplainable.

“So I was quoting scriptures bothering on my healing that by his stripes I am healed and that no cancer fashioned against me shall prosper.”
