DELSU commissions 2 lecture halls

UGHELLI — THE two mini-lecture halls donated by the Oleh Community to the Oleh Campus of the Delta State University has been commis-sioned.

Commissioning the lecture halls, Provost of the campus, Prof. Victor F. Peretomode, commended the Oleh Community for its initiative to contribute to the develop-ment of the campus.

Peretomode who also commended the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan for the develop-ment of educational institu-tions in the state, said government’s recent effort in the development of the Oleh campus was commendable.

According to him, govern-ment has awarded the contract for the construction of the Faculty of Law complex, adding that it has also approved 20,000 gallon capacity solar water scheme for the campus.

He said the Oleh Community had in 2007, under the leadership of Mr. Believe Unuafe, donated six classroom blocks to the campus.

Peretomode said the two lecture halls could accommodate 110 students, adding that the lecture halls have toilet facilities and teaching aids such as loud speakers, microphones magnetic boards, projectors and projector screens.

He also commended the management of SPDC for equipping the two lecture halls with furnitures and teaching aids and the hall Governor, Women Affairs Hostel, Akpoguma Jennifer, a 300-Level student for purchasing 1,500 litres water tank for the hostel.
