Etisalat Nigeria, has described as baseless rumour, a story in one of Nigeria’s ICT publications alleging that its board was having quibbles over control of equity and investments in the company. According to the company, it was unfortunate that such a baseless and unsubstantiated rumour would come from the vibrant Nigerian media.
The company said, “our attention has been drawn to a recent ICT publication alleging internal quibbles between the three key shareholders in Etisalat Nigeria. We would like to state categorically that the claim is untrue and far from the collective mission and aspiration of all parties to the “Etisalat Nigeria †dream.
“We are emphatic in our position that the relationship between the three corporate entities, Etisalat, Mubadala and Maycenth is cordial, warm, friendly, goal oriented and focused. All three shareholder groups are working together in harmony to achieve the objective of making Etisalat Nigeria one of the best, most reliable and innovative telecommunications companies in Nigeriaâ€.
It said that its shareholders know and appreciate the core values inherent in partnership and allow this to dictate the tune with regards to their investments in Etisalat Nigeria .
