36 States is a singer, song writer and producer who seeks new sounds between modernity and tradition; this probably explains his decade-long sojourn between London, Europe and Africa.
Based in Paris, France,Â Louis Otioroâ€™s musical world has been immersed by Bob Marley, Fela Kuti, Majek Fashek, Jimmy Cliff and Shaba Ranksâ€™ songs. Currently on an African tour, 36 States last Saturday officially unveiled himself to the general public at the Mega Plaza, Lagos.
While sampling a few of his tracks – â€˜My Introductionâ€™ and â€˜Indiana Jonesâ€™, the artiste who signs his work by 36 States as a souvenir of his native country, Nigeria, announced that his 12-track African album is ready.
The album contains tracks including, â€˜Tinted Loveâ€™, â€˜Na Only Youâ€™, â€˜Indiana Jonesâ€™ and â€˜My Introductionâ€™, which also serves as the album title
The Oron, Akwa Ibom state born artiste who also runs his label, States Records, plans to collaborate with more established home stars in the nearestÂ future.
