At the first set of winners in the Diamond Bank Savings Xtra Season 2 promotions last week the customers namely Mrs. Grace Ihekerenma of Ikwere Road, Port Harcourt branch of the bank and Olatunde Oketade, a customer of the bank based in Ibadan emerged the winner of the star prize with a value of N 24 million and representing N100,000 every month for 240 months.  Also five customers won air conditioners, another five won laptops; five others won generators, another five won LCD TVs and five customers won motorcycles. Speaking shortly before the draw,  Head, Retail Banking, Diamond Bank, Mr. Garry Marsh said that the bank  introduced the Savings Xtra reward programme just over one year ago with the intention of widening its customer base and rewarding existing customers.
“We gave away N200 million in prizes in that first year. Our second year of rewards starts here, today and over the next 12 months we will be giving away N400 million.

We have doubled the reward to be given to our loyal customers over the coming year. We are simply adding additional value to reward our customers and add some excitement to their lives. There is no better feeling for us than when we telephone one of our winners to tell them the good news and to hear the shock and surprise turn into delight and happiness” he said.

The Savings Xtra product is aimed at all segments of the market. With a minimum balance requirement of only N 5,000 a customer can open the account. By retaining at least N 5,000 throughout, the customer qualifies for the draw.

Marsh said the bank has added another advantage to Savings Xtra, which is the availability of the Savings Xtra Visa Credit card.
“We have combined the best credit card product in the market place with the best savings account package and now for the first time ever, all customers irrespective of salary or employment can have access to a credit card.
