In line with corporate ambition to bring out the talent in people and to draw closer to consumers,Â Peak milk, the premium brand of FrieslandCampina WAMCO Nigeria PLC, has launched a unique talent show in Nigeria.
The show tagged â€œPeak Talent Showâ€ will discover and develop individuals with special diverse talents in dancing, singing, music, miming, acrobatic display, juggling or indeed any amazing talent with entertainment value.
The formal launch of Peak Talent Show took place Thursday, at the Sheraton Hotel in Lagos with a mock talent search that saw three Nigerians, Olumide Dada, Maxwell and David showcasing their various skills in music, dance and football respectively.
The new Talent show according to Mr Steetskamp MD Friesland Campina WAMCO Nigeria stems from the 2008 thematic campaign, â€œPeak-Itâ€™s in Youâ€ which seeks to express the importance of unlocking oneâ€™s true potential.
The Peak Talent show which is open to adults and kids over 16 years, will hold free auditioning sessions in Jos, Abuja, Enugu, Calabar, Ibadan, and Lagos. Contestants will be required to showcase their Acts before a panel of celebrity judges in each of the six cities.
From each city audition, four Acts will win an all_expenses_paid trip to participate in the semi _ finals in Lagos, where a combination of judges and SMS voting by viewers will lead to the emergence of the star prize winner. Judging Criteria is based on showmanship, stage presence, Entertainment and Talent, and ultimately their True Potentials.
N30 million Naira worth of prizes has been earmarked for the show. The Star prize_winner will get an appropriate talent development contract worth N4m, plus Nlm in cash.
Peak Talent Show will run for 15 weeks and will be aired on NTA Network and AIT respectively from September to 16th of December when the grand finale will hold.
