Almona-Isei tasks Ndokwa nation on unity

UGHELLI—ONE-TIME member of the House of Representatives, Chief Mercy Almona-Isei, has charged the political class in Ndokwa nation to remain united and focused to attract more development to the area.

Making the call at Obiaruku in Ukwuani local government area, Delta State, Almona-Isei, while addressing leaders and members of the Peoples Democracy Party (PDP) in  the area during an interactive meeting called to strengthen the unity of the people, said the unity and love currently existing among stakeholders in the area must be strengthened to be able to face the challenges ahead.

According to her, such challenges did not end at winning elections, but creating a peaceful political atmosphere that would encourage development in the area and commended the development strides of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan in the state, particularly in Ukwuani local government area.

Almona-Isei, who is the convener of the meeting, enjoined all members of the PDP, particularly the founding members in the area, to ensure continued unity of purpose among the people.

She added that they must bear allegiance to the governor as well as support his development programmes in the state.

Also speaking during the meeting, the state Commissioner for Special Duties, Government House, Mr. Ochor Christopher Ochor, acknowledged the leadership qualities of Governor  Uduaghan and pointed out that he (Uduaghan) has put smiles on the faces of many Deltans.

Appealing to the people to continue to support  the administration of Governor Uduaghan, Ochor assured them of more dividends of democracy in the area.

and stressed that PDP in Ukwuani council area remains one united family.

A vote of confidence was passed on Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, the leadership of the PDP in the state, led by Chief Peter Nwaoboshi and Chief Mercy Almona-Isei.
