Consolidating its  leadership position in the Enterprise Solutions market, MTN Nigeria, has launched another service to facilitate cost effective branch connectivity solution. The solution according to MTN’s Corporate Services Executive, Mr Wale Goodluck is another unique service born of MTN’s commitment to develop cutting edge communication solutions to empower Enterprise customers to perform optimally.
For MTN, the introduction of the service follows years of heavy and consistent investment in the network with the aim of equipping it to cater for the future telecommunication needs of Nigeria, as Goodluck noted that MTN’s investment in MPLS technology has enabled the company to offer sophisticated IP based services to Nigerian organisations.
Evan Garricks, General Manager and Head of MTN Enterprise Sales also said, “MTN’s vision is to become the reliable supplier of choice for businesses in Nigeria.
Our priority is to provide branch connectivity, using MTN’s extensive network coverage via any technology means possible, in the most cost effective way, for the benefit of the multi branch Enterprise. This new service is an improved method of delivering branch connectivity.â€
Shedding more light on the service, Derek Appiah, MTN’s Chief Enterprise Solutions* Officer said, “the new service is aimed at Enterprises that require any to any connectivity.
, converged voice, data, video and multimedia applications, as well as service classes, in addition to the security provided by Private Leased Circuitsâ€.
According to him, the benefits of the service include reduced networking costs, superior security, flexibility to accommodate customers’ network topology, scalability in terms of ability to adapt to growth in complexity and volume in the enterprise network, and reliability, among many others.
Branded IPConnectâ„¢, the solution is a partitioned private network constructed over the MTN MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) backbone. It combines the intelligence of private IP routing with the added performance of label switching to route packets directly between locations on the network.
With only one access link to the MTN MPLS “cloud†from each of the Enterprise locations, full mesh connectivity is achievable, thereby improving network scalability, reliability, and internal network application performance.
