Former Chelsea physio Eva Caneiro, thursday, tied the knots with her polar explorer boyfriend.

The former first team doctor, 42, who is currently taking legal action against the club for constructive dismissal, forgot her Chelsea blues as she got married to Jason De Carteret. 49.

The former Chelsea doctor has been dating Jason, who is an Antarctic World Record holder having ski trekked both the North and South Poles four times each, for just under two years.

Jason who is now an helicopter pilot also works as a consultant advising polar expeditions — including elite special forces soldiers.

It has been revealed that Eva Caneiro flew in her family priest from her native Gibraltar to conduct the ceremony at St Patrick’s Catholic Church in Soho, London.

In a not so strange twist, No current Chelsea players attended the ceremony, but former reserve goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer.

It was however revealed that The wedding was planned months ago while she was still at Chelsea to coincide with the international break.

“A few Chelsea staff and players were initially invited but it’s not surprising they haven’t made it today after what’s gone on. It puts them in a difficult position.

“Some have said they will be at the private reception, but we’ll see.” said a guest.

Eva is currently seeking a claim for constructive dismissal after she was axed from the first team following Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho’s public criticism of her in August after the seasons opening game at Swansea.

Mourinho had described the doctor as being naïve “naive” for treating star player Eden Hazard on the pitch during the dieing minutes of the game in which Chelsea were playing out a 2-2 draw.

Mourinho was cleared by the FA of using sexist language after an investigation.

But both Chelsea and Mourinho face an embarrassing public employment tribunal if her case is not settled out of court.
