Ten SMEs for ARSO exhibition in Egypt

By Naomi Uzor

African Organization for Standardization (ARSO) has said it will sponspor ten Nigerian SMEs to attend the upcoming “Made in Africa Expo” in Egypt.

“With 17, 284, 671 MSMEs existing in Nigeria, the number of jobs created can be better appreciated, by harnessing and promoting the potentials of the MSMEs through certification.

This is a huge figure and in this regard we will also show a glimpse of how we intend to support these SME’s by offering free certification to the first ten best companies that impress our panel of international judges on that day,” said Chairman of the inter-ministerial steering committee, Dr. Paul Angya.

“Amongst the numerous objectives of the ARSO African expo I think one area that clearly needs development is the investment in local SMEs certified or uncertified in providing them a platform to showcase the capacity of their products which is why ARSO will sponsor the ten best SMEs to participate in the “Made in Africa Fair” in Egypt,” he said.
