US judge formally sentences Boston bomber to death.
Convicted Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev on Wednesday apologized to his victims, speaking for the first time since the 2013 attacks by addressing his death sentence hearing in court.
“I would like to now apologize to the victims and to the survivors,” he said. “I am sorry for the lives I have taken, for the suffering, the damage that I have done.”
