After a long year, actor Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki has proceeded on a one month vacation starting from December 20.

This was revealed in a statement by his publicist, Media Image Maker. “Mr. Chinedu Ikedieze a.k.a Aki has shut down for the year till late January 2015. It was a rather long and successful year for the star and so, he has to take a break and go on vacation with his family.”

The statement, however, did not disclose the country where Aki is going to spend his vacation. But speculation is rife that he’s probably heading to the United States or the Bahamas.

Aki’s last official outing this year before he proceeded on vacation was the wedding event of president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, Ibinabo Fiberisima, on Saturday, December 20 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He jetted out immediately after the wedding. “There is no way he would have missed the wedding of Ibinabo who he had enjoyed a robust relationship with over the years, so he built it into his rather tight schedule.”

The actor thanked his fans, producers and the corporate world he had done business with this year and above all, “I thank God for His mercies and favour because without which, we won’t be alive to witness this day. Next year will be more successful for all of us in Jesus name. I pray Nigeria hold a successful election devoid of violence. I pray that our economy will improve next year too,” reads the statement.
