ANXIOUS Deltans were disappointed , Wednesday, following the postponement of final results of the governorship poll in the State after 21 out of 25 local government areas were released.

The member representing Bomadi/Patani Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr Nicholas Mutu, who sought a re-election has won the seat in a landslide victory.

CANDIDATE of the Democratic Peoples Party, DPP, Ughelli North constituency II, Mr Akpodiete Edoja, has clinched the state House of Assembly seat, to represent the constituency in the House. He won with 20,008 votes, beating Mr Isaac Akpoveta of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, who polled 9,110, to the second position.

The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has clinched the Yenagoa constituency I poll for the Bayelsa State House of Assembly.

THE Electoral Officer in Ughelli North Local Government Area, Mr Justice Umoh, has been quizzed by the Ughelli police over the missing 50 booklets of ballot papers meant for the governorship and State House of Assembly elections, held on Tuesday.

SENATOR Ibikunle Amosun; the Action Congress of Nigeria [ACN] gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State has been declared winner of the governorship election of the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] after polling 377,487 votes to emerge winner.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Osun state Wednesday declared the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) candidates as winners of the House of Assembly election in the 26 state constituencies in the state.

The Delta state INEC office in Asaba has been cordoned off as motorists are not allowed within 500metres to avoid possible invasion  of the collation centre as witnessed during the National Assembly election.
