IN SPITE of the on-going power play and high level intrigues in Aso Rock, Acting President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, continued his functions as Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, when he hosted a closed-door meeting with the military junta in Niger Republic, in his capacity as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States, ECOWAS.

AFTER about 48 hours of non-stop high level politicking in Aso Rock, ailing President Umaru Yar’Adua’s henchmen, yesterday, toed the path of honour by admitting that the fight so far was a bad one, as they have unanimously resolved to halt political fireworks and accept Jonathan as the nation’s Acting President.
