Ogun State House of Assembly Speaker, Mr. Tunji Egbetokun, yesterday dared Governor Olugbenga Daniel to publish more photographs of lawmakers who allegedly took blood oath with him if he had any other one.
Addressing a press conference in Abeokuta, the Speaker described recent political development in the state as “unfortunate, messy and stinking”.
This disclosure came on the heels of Hon Wale Alausa whose nude photograph was published in a national newspaper (not Vanguard) where he was swearing to an oath. Hon Alausa who spoke in Lagos stated that no amount of intimidation would make him conspire with Governor Daniel to plunge the state into financial bondage.
The Speaker who challenged Governor Daniel to publish more of such photographs if he has any said he was sure the governor was already regretting his action.
“He caused the photograph to be published because he is the owner of the paper. Let him publish other ones if he has them. The whole thing is unfortunate, messy and stinking which I know he would be regretting by now.
“The House will investigate what National Compass wrote and look into it. Why should it be the paper owned by the Governor considering the message? We know the beginning of the paper and we will see its end”.
Hon Egbetokun explained that Mr. Olawale Alausa after the oath with the Governor withdrew from the activities of the Group of 15 legislators until the House was to pass the resolution barring any financial institution from granting further loans to the state government.
“It was then that he returned, when he saw that the thing was to put his people in slavery. He retraced his steps and decided to stay on the side of the people.”
Describing Governor Daniel as somebody ungrateful, the Speaker said the House was soft pedalling with its probe, following the intervention of a lot of people including the Committee of Permanent Secretaries in the state.
Addressing newsmen in Lagos yesterday, Hon Alausa said: “following the impeachment of Titi Oseni last year, pressure were mounted on my father to prevail on me to withdraw my support for the Speaker, Hon. Tunji Egbetokun. My father’s response to Otunba Daniel each time such pressure came was that his son is an adult with a family of his own, who can take decisions without recourse to him. He added that “I left the group to pledge allegiance to the governor because of untold pressure on my dad and the need to respect our royal father.
The condition of pledging allegiance to Governor Daniel was humiliating but I struck to my guns that unless he also took the same oath.
I will refuse to do it” Continuing he said, “Governor Daniel was arguing with me because he expected I’ll return to the G-15 and begin passing details of our meeting to him. The oath I took was to the effect that I will not be among those who will impeach him from office. Part of the deal was that as an Ijebu man, I should not allow the Egba to disgrace our son, Governor Daniel.”
“I was used, dumped and abused by the same man that is now trying to put a label of fetish oath- taker on me. No intimidation, harassment or blackmail of any kind can make me conspire with Governor Daniel in his despicable attempt to plunge our dear State into perpetual bondage”.

It’s just unfortuniate that the so call saint in quote are the problem of the state, whereas what the masses expect to enjoy from the civillian rule pple are not seen it for example look at the road linking Ope-ilu Agbado road which was to serve as major road was now a death trap for the pple living in the area, Also forgotten they will soon leave the position, to always ask and come back to those they are looking at far distance for there vote again. May almight God save us from all of them amen. publish more oath photos jare.
Daniel, if this is his real name is the lowest Ogun State has sunk. he’s as bad as can be. he is mediocrity personified. At a time govt the world over is engaging the private sector, Ogun State govt under a Kleptomaniac is embarking on white elephants in the dying days of his fraudulent and violent administration.
