AHEAD of the September 21 Governorship Election in Edo State, Candidates of the All Progressives Congress APC, Monday Okpebholo; Peoples Democratic Party PDP, Asue Ighodalo; Labour Party LP, Olumide Akpata, and 13 others will on September 12 sign a peace accord in Benin.

THE political fortunes of the All Progressives Congress, APC, swelled, Tuesday, as the daughter of Esama of Benin who is a former member of the House of Representatives, Hon Omosede Igbinedion, and her supporters joined the APC few hours after her resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

 The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo has accused the state police command of complicity in the attack on its Governorship Candidate, Sen. Monday Okpebholo and the reinstated deputy governor, Philip Shaibu.

A Civil Society Ogranisation, CSO, One Love Foundation, OLF, Friday, called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, and the Edo State Commission of Police, CP CP Funsho Adegboye, to arrest and prosecute all those who attacked the convoy of the All Progressives Congress, APC, governorship candidate in Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the reinstated Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu in Benin City.

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Edo State, Prince Emmanuel Odigie, who is opposed to the candidature of Senator Monday Okpebholo has doubled down on his campaign against him, asserting that Okpebholo lacks the intellectual capacity and wherewithal to play on a global stage as governor of a state.
