Five nationals of Benin Republic have been arrested in connection with pipeline vandalism,with the recovery of 500 jerricans filled with petroleum products suspected to have been siphoned from a ruptured pipeline belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC.

Court orders Navy to pay N200m over illegal detention of vessel
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has ordered the Nigerian Navy and the Chief of Naval Staff, jointly and severally, to pay an oil company, Mercury Oil Limited, the sum of N200 million as damages for illegally detaining its vessel M T SAPPHIRE 1 and siphoning 280,000 litres of Automated Gas Oil contained in the said vessel.
Shocking: Navy arrest boat with 400 truckload of stolen crude oil
THE Nigerian Navy in the Delta state has arrested a self propelled barge loaded with estimated 4000metric tonnes, equivalent of 400 truck load of suspected crude oil in what the Central Naval Command, CNC, described as “a big break in the fight against oil theft” in the Niger Delta.
