Headline inflation rate drops in June
Despite the decline in headline inflation rate to 11.2 percent in June 2019, analysts in the financial sector of the economy have projected that the headline inflation index will rise to 11.5 percent in the second half of 2019, H2’19.

The National Bureau of Statistics, Monday, has said that Nigeria’s inflation rate dropped by 0.18 percent in the month of June.
Rise in food prices pushes inflation to 11.40%
The seasonal rise in prices of food items has further pressured the nation’s inflation rate in May 2019 to 11.4 percent, about 0.03 basis points above the previous month’s record.
