There is a fundamental problem at the heart of Nigeria’s politics which, if it is not re-built, will prevent us from ever achieving the greatness we deserve as a nation, in fact, its increasingly rapid deterioration will potentially lead to a steep decline in our fortunes.

I HAVE watched and followed with dismay the roles of some justices in determining election cases emanating from the last April 2011 poll. Before the amendment of the 1999 Constitution, one major complaints of majority of Nigerians was the unlimited life span of election petitions in court.

SOMETIMES one is tempted to jump to the conclusion that the average Nigerian is eternally and irrationally afraid of change even when that promises an outcome that is in his best interest. Indeed there are several unfolding pointers in the polity today to buttress this impression.

IF Gov. Fashola truly loves Lagos State let him leave a self-generative legacy. A legacy that will build the infrastructures of an enduring solution to the states problem. A legacy that will regenerate itself. That legacy is EDUCATION.
