I WAS recently a guest on a radio talk show. I was to discuss the Nigerian government’s inability, thus far, to contain and defeat the Boko Haram. At one point, the talk show host asked my opinion on the court marshal of mutinous Nigerian soldiers that heckled their divisional commander and shot at him.

RECENTLY, the media was awash with stories of how the Department of State Security, DSS, has been able to crack a syndicate of Permanent Voter Cards cloners operating from a location, which the All Progressives Congress, APC, now claims is its Data Centre.

BABA IYABO is the quintessential hero in every drama of his own scripting or adaptation. If he isn’t the originator, initiator or lead actor, hush! It means the play ain’t worth it. Therefore, those who presumed to put it together must be impaled on the flagstaff of their impunity.

IF you had asked me about Senator Musiliu Obanikoro a year or two ago, I would have dismissed him as one of the bad eggs of Nigerian politics, an uneducated and violent man who has no clue about the real essence of leadership and governance. Until sometime in July this year, I had never met Senator Obanikoro but interestingly, my opinion of his personality was based largely on what I heard or read about him.

China, the second largest economy in the world, now has the most accredited laboratories in the world, an economic enabler many have not noticed. But the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, SON, under the leadership of Dr Joseph Odumodu has taken a leap in this direction with the acquisition of two food accredited laboratories, creating a pathway for the future China in Nigeria.
