The President of Nasrul-lahi-l-Fatih Society, NASFAT, Engr Kamil Bolarinwa has said that in spite of the global attempt to blame the religion for violence and terrorism in some part of the world, is not a threat to Muslims and Islam, just as the Chief Missioner of the society, Shiekh Abdullah Akinbode urged the media to be just in the reportage of news about Islam.

The Youth wing of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat, Majlis Khuddamul Ahmadiyya Nigeria, rose from its two-day Inter-religious conference with a resolve that followers of their faith, should endevour to be committed to the establishment and sustenance of peace; and at all times ensure the building of enduring peace among people in their respective communities.

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Board (FMPWB), has said it would commence registration of intending pilgrims for the 2016 Hajj on March 1. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja and signed by the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Board, Alhaji Muhammad Aliyu. According to the statement, the registration will run across the six area councils of the territory.

Muslim Public Affairs Centre, MPAC and Nasrul-lahil-Fathi Society of Nigeria Agency for Zakat and Sadaqat (NAZAS) have concluded plans to distribute relief materials to the over 2.2 million Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs in North East of the country. The United Nations High Commission for Refugees, UNHCR had last November said the population of IDP in the North Eastern part of the country had risen to 2.2million.
