Samsung Electronics West Africa has partnered with the Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA to address the issue of technical and engineering skills shortage in Nigeria.

As part of measures to further bridge the gap between girls and boys’ access to information and communications technology (ICT), the Women in Technology in Nigeria, WITIN, recently hosted the 2014 edition of the Iridescent’s Technovation Challenge for over 50 girls from about 13 secondary schools in Lagos and Ogun states.

Crisis erupted at Awada Secondary School, Obosi, Anambra State following a disagreement between the management of the school and the Parents/Teachers Association (PTA) over the manner in which the N10 million relief fund donated to the school by Governor Peter Obi for renovation was spent.
