IN a bid to consolidate its leadership role as a complete component building solutions provider, Nigerite Limited has launched a new product known as Solo Xtra Roofing Sheets into the market

THE Minister of Environment Mrs. Laurentia Mallam said the ministry would put every machinery in place to reconcile Shell Petroleum Development Corporation, SPDC with all the shoreline communities in the Niger Delta who are affected by the spillage which occurred in December, 2012.

Worried by the increasing occurrence of building collapse in different parts of the country especially in Lagos state, built environment experts under the aegis of the Building Collapse Prevention Guild, have called on the three tiers of government and stakeholders in the sector to collaborate in a concerted effort to stem this ugly trend.

Nigeria is fast becoming a dumping ground for fake and substandard building and home furnishing materials. These substandard materials are usually imported from China and other Asian and European countries by unscrupulous Nigerian businessmen and their foreign collaborators. The rising occurrence of buildings collapse and fire disasters in the country, are directly linked to the utilisation of these fake or adulterated building components.
