The last edition recommended that there should be one Investors’ Protection Fund (IPF) in the capital market, instead of the multiplicity of such fund as implied in the Exposure Draft Guidelines on the National Investors Protection Fund (NIPF) being promoted by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The article also recommended that existing IPFs and those in the pipeline should be suspended or absolved by the SEC sponsored NIPF.
