Air Nigeria and Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria, PAN, are partnering on the celebration of Nigeria’s 50th independence anniversary, putting on offer a 307 Sedan Jubillee car and free return tickets as prizes.
Air Nigeria’s Chief Executive Officer, Kinfe Kahssaye, who disclosed this in Lagos, said the promo, which commenced September 1, 2010, would end October 31.
According to him, all a passenger needed to do to win the prizes was buy tickets for domestic flights online.
He said in the first symbolic category, the airline would reward every 50th person that booked and paid online on the domestic route with a free return ticket, while the grand prize of a Peugeot 307 Jubilee was open to everyone that booked and paid online for any domestic ticket during the promo period.
He said draws and presentation of the grand prize of the promo tagged, Lucky 50 promo, would hold in November.
Kahssaye explained that the objective of the promo was to celebrate the great milestones that Nigeria had attained over the last fifty years as well as reward Air Nigeria’s customers by conducting a promo that will encourage them to visit the airline’s website for their air travel needs.
“Air Nigeria felicitates with all Nigerians on the attainment this golden age of fifty by the nation and our commitment as an airline is to continually uphold best global practices in our operations as well as offer a diversity of top-of-the-range products,” Kahssaye said.
Shehu Sani Dauda, Managing Director of PAN Nigeria Limited, manufacturers of the Peugeot brand, described the partnership with Air Nigeria as essential.
“We are excited at the synergy with the leading name in aviation to reward Nigerians with a car that was specially christened “Jubilee” in commemoration of the nation’s 50th independence anniversary,” he said.
PAN Nigeria, according to Mr. Dauda, considered the partnership as an imperative collaboration between two national stakeholders with considerable impact on the economy in human and material capacities.
Virgin Nigeria was recently acquired by Barrister Jimoh Ibrahim, who re-christened it Air Nigeria, and set it on a turn-around path to position it to effectively meet and exceed the expectations of the Nigerian, African and International travel market, as well as make full payments of debts owed to financial institutions.
The airline said in a statement that recent expansions to new domestic and regional destinations had increased the flexibility of its timing and frequency on existing routes.
