How Sports Vanguard advised Bio to monitor Lulu and co

By Patrick Omorodion
Events unfolding about the way Nigeria’s football was mismanaged was unfolded on these pages before the kick off of the 2010 World Cup but officials of the Nigeria Football Association, NFA called us names including that this writer is an agent of the Director-General, Chief Patrick Ekeji.

Lulu

We were not deterred as we continued to expose the NFA on plans of the officials to enrich themselves as well as perpetuate themselves in office by compromising state FA chairmen with mouth-watering estacode on a jamboree to South Africa for the World Cup.

Many Nigerians including Chief Segun Odegbami, Barrister Adokie Amiesimaka, Rev Moses Iloh, Barrister Richard Obienu, Elder Bode Oyewole, Alhaji Ahmed Gara Gombe, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Paul Bassey, Mitchel Obi, Aisha Falode and so many others too numerous to mention, spoke on the issue and condemned the NFA.

Sports Vanguard even went the extra mile by telling the Chairman, National Sports Commission/Sports Minister, Alhaji Ibrahim Bio to investigate the NFA and ensure he blocks all the avenues created to siphon government money.

We have been proved right by the manipulated election which has now been annulled by a Federal High court following NFA’s blatant disregard of its orders not to hold the election.

The four big wigs of the NFA who carried on despite the cry of Nigerians as if they were unchallengeable are today behind bars pending their imminent incarceration after the EFCC discovered they allegedly had their hands soiled by mismanaging several millions of money approved for the Super Eagles participation at the 2010 World Cup.

Today we reproduce hereunder one of the stories published on these pages concerning plans by the NFA big wigs to siphon funds and perpetuate themselves in office.
