WARRI — Seven aspirants in Delta State, including three retired military officers have so far signified their aspiration to take over the governorship of the state from the incumbent Governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan, next year.

The political atmosphere in the state is now charged as a result of the frenzy by the aspirants and their supporters.
Vanguard learnt that more would join the race in the next few weeks.

However, both the Minister of State for Education, Chief Kenneth Gbagi and the Minister of Niger-Delta, Elder Godsay Orubebe, have in the meantime, left political pundits in the state guessing on their rumoured ambition.

Gbagi, who was learnt to be the chief organiser of last weekend’s Jonathan for President rally in Warri, kept his position close to his chest at the rally ground even as six other governorship aspirants jostled for recognition
