Stanbic IBTC, a member of the Standard Bank Group, has honoured over 60 of its long service employees for their outstanding contributions to the phenomenal growth of the institution in the last 20 years.
The awardees, who ranged from senior managers to staff in various departments of the bank, were recognized at different ceremonies held in Lagos recently.
The awards, an annual incentive package from the office of the Chief Executive Officer, is in line with the bank’s policy of recognizing the contributions of its staff in building a world class brand renowned for the quality of its products and services.
The awardees were those who have rendered continuous service to the bank for 10 -15 and 20 years. Of the 63 beneficiaries, 40 employees were in the 10-year category, seven in the 15-year class and 16 in the 20-year cadre. They received various valuable items including plaques, commendation letters and gift vouchers.
Among those honoured in the 20-year category included the Deputy Chief Executive Officer, Sola David-Borha and the Company Secretary, Angela Omo-Dare. Others were Imoluamen Friday Gabriel, Uzoegbu Moses, Olubowale Patricia Ojorumi, Oresegun Bamidele Abiodun, Idemudia Sunday, Lala Adegbola Adebayo, Akintade Taiwo, Muoyo Oluwande Olanrewaju, and Owunnah Chibueze Enyinnaya.
The seven in the 15-year category were Abdullahi-Ahmed Hafsah, Akpan Olubukola Oluyemisi, Ibelegbu Francis Okechukwu, Nkemodi Samuel Ogumka, Onyebara Emmanuel Ogugua, Rasheed Aminu Rafindadi, and Kehinde Olasupo Michael.
Addressing the beneficiaries at one of the events, Stanbic IBTC’s Chief Executive Officer, Chris Newson, said the gesture was a further demonstration of the bank’s unflinching commitment to the wellbeing of its workers. It is also intended to foster stronger bonding among employees and to encourage them to rededicate themselves and perform their duties with more verve and dynamism.
