Abuja—A Japanese firm, Kaitho Sangyo Company Ltd, has promised to assist Nigeria with the establishment of an automoble recycling plant.
President of the company, Mr Kondo Norihiko, told the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, yesterday that the gesture would help protect the environment and create employment.
He said he was in Nigeria on the invitation of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation, UNIDO, and the National Automotive Council, NAC, to visit some abandoned vehicle sites in the country.
Nirihico noted that Nigerians had abandoned many vehicles that could have been recycled, and promised that his company would explore the possibility of replicating the technology in Nigeria.
