Going by the utterances of Kaduna United handler,  Maurice Cooreman, Kano ball-fans are in for a tough Federations Cup game on home ground as the Belgian born-coach  has vowed that his side will beat newly crowned league champions Enyimba, and lift the cup when both sides clash in the 2010  Cup final at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano today. #

“Yes they have won the league but this one, I have the formula to beat Enyimba,” he said “ I will beat them because I know them too well and because I want to carry the cup. I will deprive them this one. Enyimba will never know what hit them today because my boys will spring surprises”, Cooreman said in a telephone chat.

Asked how he would do it against a side that recently beat all sides in the league including his Kaduna United to lift the league cup, Cooreman responded this way, “I know Enyimba inside out, I know their players individually and collectively.

So, this is my game and time because I know the character of their game and I have the formula to beat them to the cup, remember, it’s a team I have coached  before and because I know and understand them from players to officials, so, this one is going to be tough on them to handle because  I want Kaduna to get this Cup. Enyimba will not escape defeat,” he added

Against all odds, Kaduna zoomed into the final, shocked highly rated Enugu Rangers 5-4 on penalties in the first semi final to advance while Enyimba picked the final slot handing Sunshine Stars a slim 1-0 in the second semi final.

While coach Okey Emordi could not be reached for comments, Cooreman, who won the league shield with Ocean Boys in 2006 and followed with stints at Lobi Stars, NPA, Ghana’s Accra Hearts, said he was set to pick another honour off Enyimba.

“The way I know Enyimba makes me certain that I will win because they don’t know my team. That is what  gives me advantage because I have read them too well,” he stated adding, “ I’m not saying it well be easy but I’m just too sure that my inside knowledge of Enyimba will give me the advantage to win the cup.”

Again asked if he bore grudges against the Aba side going by the way he spoke about the confrontation, Cooreman said “ No, there is no grudge. But I just want to beat Enyimba in this one.”
