The final batch of winners in the just concluded Zain’s Wake up a Millionaire offer has been rewarded with their cash prizes. At a prize presentation held yesterday (Tuesday, August 10, 2010) at the Zain Headquarters in Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos, 21 winners received their cheques from officials of the Telco operator.
The winners who received their winnings at the prize presentation included a Scrap Dealer, Isiaka Abubakar; a retiree, Sunday Abiodun; a trader, James Odediran and a Lagos resident, Kehinde Ekunola.
Other winners at the ceremony were Uche Nwankwo, Chidi Igwe, Michael Oniye, Samuel Ekwo, Uche Nwankwo and Aholue Daniel, amongst others. All the winners were presented with cheques of two million naira each.
Speaking at the occasion, Isiaka Abubakar, a scrap dealer commended Zain Nigeria for fulfilling its pledge to its customers by rewarding winners in the promo, describing his cash prize as a life-line that will go a long way to change his world. He urged the mobile operator to continue to excite customers with offers that will change their lives, revealing that he will invest his new found fortune in his trade.
Also speaking, James Odediran, a Lagos-based trader showered encomiums on Zain for empowering him with financial resources to further his education. He said his dream has always been to further his education and his winning has opened a vast window of opportunity to realize the dream.
The just concluded Zain’s ‘Wake up a Millionaire’, is an interactive and rewarding SMS Service which provided customers an opportunity to become millionaires daily. With the offer, Zain elevated over 100 Nigerians into the millionaire rank as well as rewarded many others with laptops, mobile phones, and generators, amongst other prizes through the marketing initiative.
Winners were selected daily and monthly throughout the duration of the offer. Winners in the Daily Draw received N2, 000,000.00 each while winners in the Monthly Draw were rewarded with N10, 000,000.00.
