The director general of the National Sports Commission, Patrick Ekeji, like the three impeached top executives of the Nigeria Football Association will continue to visit the federal government’s anti graft agency, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, until investigations into the finances of the NFA are concluded.

EFCC boss

Spokesman for the EFCC, Femi Babafemi confirmed in Abuja that aside the three impeached principal officers of the Nigeria Football Association – Sani Lulu Abdullahi, Amanze Uchegbulam and Taiwo Ogunjobi – that are answering questions at the agency over World Cup grant, Chief Patrick Ekeji was also drilled for hours by operatives of EFCC Wednesday, over N350 million the ministry received.

Like NFF, the ministry also sponsored people to the World Cup. NFF received N900 million.
“We decided to invite Patrick Ekeji based on the reports that the sum of N350 million was allegedly advanced to him. So, he (Patrick Ekeji) has to explain how the sum of N350 million was spent.”, he said.
