WARRI — THE Ijaw Movement for Good Government, IMGG,  has advised those eyeing Delta State Government House to wait till 2015 as there was no vacancy in Asaba, owing to the performance of Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, who thus deserves a second term.

IMGG in a statement after its meeting in Warri, said  it decided to take the position after deliberating and analysing some vital issues concerning the Ijaws and the politics of Delta State.

“We are in strong support of Governor Uduaghan’s second term bid, because we are convinced that he as a great leader, has operated an open door policy, is accommodating and his programmes are  people oriented. He deserves a second term  to complete his numerous on-going and proposed projects.”

“The Governor has religiously followed his three-point agenda of peace, security and human capital development. He has given employment, provided good transport system, built airport, roads and provided micro- credit loans to revamp the economy,” the group added.

It called on Deltans to support and collaborate with the Governor instead of raising unnecessary opposition. “We call on all well meaning Deltans to contribute their wealth of experience to join Uduaghan rule the State, but there is no vacancy till 2015,” the group added.
