2011: Omisore vows to win Osun guber race

OSOGBO — Chairman, Senate Committee on Appropriation and Osun State Governorship aspirant on the platform of Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Iyiola Omisore has vowed to pick the sole ticket of the party at the state primary.

He made the declaration yesterday at Ejigbo during the continuation of his grassroots’ consultations with members of the party across the state.

Omisore also assured the people of Ejigbo, Ede-North and Ede-South Federal Constituency of speedy completion of all the on-going projects, including the moribund Ejigbo water scheme on assumption of office.

The aspirant who spoke at the palace of the Ogiyan of Ejigbo, Oba Oyeyode Oyesosin expressed regret over the suffering the people of Ejigbo and its environment had been experiencing these past years as a result of the non-execution of the projects.

He said they should be prepared for the party primary that will come up very soon, saying that they should conduct themselves as peace loving members of the party before, during and after the primaries and also during subsequent general elections.

According to him, “all aspirants to various elective posts in the state should be prepared to test their popularity on the field and called on his supporters to ensure that men of integrity emerge as delegates.

He told his teaming supporters to eschew violence, adding that his joy is to see a hitch free primary and a successful general election.
