The Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry is holding a stakeholders forum on ‘Corruption in Procurement and Contracting Processes in the Public and Private Sectors’ today .
A statement signed by the Chamber’s Public Relations Manager, Mr. Tope Oluwaleye, said, Tuesday that representatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Bureau for Public Procurement, (BPP) Nigeria Police Force and The United Nation’s office on Drugs and Crime, are expected at the forum.
“Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mrs Farida Waziri is the Guest of Honour. The president of the Chamber, Otunba Olufemi Deru, and council members will also be on ground to provide insight into various issues on the topicâ€the statement said.
LCCI was founded in 1888 to promote, support or oppose legislative or other measures affecting trade, industry, commerce and agriculture as well as represent the opinion of business community on the above matters in particular, and the economy as a whole.
