BENIN—GOVERNOR Adams Oshiomhole of Edo State, weekend, disclosed that from his experience so far as a Governor, it was not true that labour leaders and activists were not good in governance.
The Governor disclosed this during the commissioning of Isonorho Street and six adjoining lanes, which he named after Chief Gani Fawehinmi.  He said his administration had embarked on “total overhauling of the decayed infrastructures in the state after an extensive review of the problems of the state. Today work is ongoing in 16 local government areas of the state out of the 18 local government areas.â€
According to him, “here in Benin City, we are working in more than ten different roads at the same time. Infact, what has shocked our people is where we are getting the money to do all these jobs.
“People said we are good at criticizing and not good in governance but it is not true. After many years, we saw that those we were talking to have become deaf and it was better to get rid of them and take over,†he added.
