ABUJA — Hopes by Mr Dino Melaye representing Kabba/Yagba Federal constituency and five other suspended members of House of Representatives for early return to their seats in the National Assembly was yesterday dashed.
This followed the decision by the Abuja Federal High Court hearing their lawsuit challenging their suspension from the House to defer ruling in their case till August 27 this year.
Justice Adamu Bello who yesterday entertained the interlocutory motion of the six lawmakers asking the court to return them to the House pending determination of their substantive suit said ruling on their motion would not be ready until the adjourned date.
The judge told the suspended law makers led by Melaye that courts in the country would begin their annual vacation on August 6 and end on September 20.
During the period, Justice Bello said he would be outside the country for his annual medical check up and that they should come to the court to pick his ruling on the adjourned date.
