The Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu passed on yesterday at an Egyptian hospital following an illness.
He was on the throne for 27 years.

In a condolence message to the family of the late Emir, the National Publicity Secretary of ACF, Mr. Anthony Sani, said, “ACF has received, with shock and heavy heart, the news of the passing away of His Royal Highness, Alhaji Suleiman Adamu, the emir of Bauchi.

He died early this morning (yesterday) in a hospital in Egypt after a brief illness and 27 years on the throne.
“His family, friends, as well as most people of Bauchi and Nigerians would miss his valuable company and counsel. Adamu lived and died struggling to better the lives of his people.

“That is why ACF can imagine his body lying in both peace and pains. The peace associated with death and the pains of what he has left behind.

“One way that would gladden the heart of the late Emir, even in his life beyond is for those alive to live up his challenges in their daily lives.

“May Allah provide them with what it takes to endure what cannot be changed, since death is a necessary end, and would come. May his soul rest in perfect peace”
