Former coach of Rangers International FC, Sylvanus Okpala a.k.a Quick Silver has urged Nigerians to support the Falconets as they lock horns with USA in the quarter-finals of the on-going 2010 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Germany.
The former Green Eagles defender said even though he has not been following the matches, he was optimistic the Ndem Egan-tutored lasses could overcome the USA and qualify for the semi finals.
“I have not been following the game but I know that the USA are strong side when it comes to women football. Nigeria also is not doing badly in the games, let see their  performance but as a patriotic Nigerian I want them to win.
“This stage is very crucial, I mean it requires creative work from the coaches  But what is important at this stage is that matches are won from the bench.
Since both teams are not from the same group, our coaches must have seen them play, watch their video tapes. Having watched the tape, what the coach needs is to adopt a tactical play so as to win the match.
This is possible if the coach can read the matches very well and formulate a character that will stop his opponent from playing their game while they play theirs. Also, at this stage, it is only the coach that reads the game well, that is assured of victory,†he said
