The quality assurance team of kreston, (a global network of independent account firms) earlier in the week visited its Nigerian operation, KrestonOUC, with a view to ensuring accounting standards are adhered to in providing quality service.

Speaking to newsmen in Lagos yesterday, Mr. Robert Holland, the managing partner in krestonJamesCowper, UK said said that they undertook the visit to carryout quality review on behalf of the global Kreston Network.

Holland said that such review ensure all Kreston accounting firms in about 110 countries operate with highest level of quality and ensuring consistency in the course of their work.

He explained that the visit was also to assist its Nigerian operations, headed by Mr. Andrew Uvaise, the managing partner of KrestonOUC, with the latest availability tools and techniques which will help its Nigerian arm compete at the level of standard in service delivery.

Holland said “It is always a pleasure to visit our friends and colleagues around the world and to help ensure that all Kreston firms operate at the highest possible level”

Speaking in similar vein, a member of the team and partner, Kreston James Cowper, UK Mr. Alex Peal said that some recommendations were made to the managing partner of its Nigerian operations with a view to making them work smarter and faster.

Similarly, the managing partner of the Nigerian operation, Andrew Uvaise said that the visit has further created confidence in its international partners.

Uvaise said that the visit of the team was also to ensure that minimum standards are applied adding that all rules and regulations were followed in discharge of its duties.

“Kreston International is a member of the forum of Firms, these firms conduct, or has an interest in conducting transnational audits and promoting the consistent application of high quality audit practice and standards worldwide”. he added.

The review, according to Uvaise was carried out every three years globally.

Apart from its opration in Nigeria, Kreston also has operations in Ghana, South Africa, Cameroun, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Senegal, Sudan, Togo, Morocco, and 15 other African counties
