Ahmed said though, the services to be offered by the new CISCO technology had been there for decades just for few subscribers, the service is now being made available not only to corporate bodies but also for small, medium scale entrepreneurs as well as private individuals, saying that Nigerians can now communicate with their loved ones, business associates and friends without border, irrespective of their geographical divide.
He said since mobility and video are fast increasing in utility and acceptance by the people, service providers are left with no other option than to serve the needs of the consumers at any given time.
With the new technology, Ahmed say business owners can now be sure of communicating with their employees and business partners at home, while on the go, in the office or even in oversea trips via video, mobile and data networks and powered by the CISCO telepresence technology.
“Today, end users mandate producers to provide them devices they are comfortable with. This shows hat users are now driving the market in the changing world. And as far as we are concerned, CISCO will not be left behind this moving train of change,†declared Ahmed.
According to him, the overall idea behind the CISCO borderless Architecture is to engender collaboration among people and in working places to enhance efficiency and productivity.
He further revealed that the new borderless device, is designed in a way it can enable different applications in an organization and enhance interactivity among people.
“We are enabling technology that would allow interactivity not just in the work place but also in the totality of peoples’ way of life,â€he added.
With the new device, he said that people can see face to face manner just as in the CISCO enabled telepresence exchange with MTN and Resourcery in the just concluded FIFA World Cup.
Doing all these, the CISCO manager said subscribers to this package only need to think of the best architecture that best suit their need before embarking on subscription to achieve the best result.
Also speaking, CISCO Business Development Manager, Emerging Africa, Bola Adegbonmire said apart from collapsing borders in the use of network and integrating different solutions, the new CISCO technology is also going to help the users change the way they do business in line with the world best practices.
She regretted that the adoption of the technology had been slowed down by poor broadband penetration in Nigeria, but revealed that the new device is fashioned in a manner it can function independent of broadband and continue to bridge the existing gap in the system, until broadband gets to every part of the country.
On pricing, she allayed the fears of prospective users, saying that the services will be affordable to serve all the desiring customers in Nigeria.
In the are of security, Ahmed said†We have already put a plan in place for security in the network. There is no need for panic. So, for all our devices in the network, there is a security,†he assured.
