AKURE—WORRIED by the uproar in the implementation of the Post-Amnesty rehabilitation programme, the Bishop of the Akure Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, Rt. Rev. Michael Ipinmoye, weekend, asked President Goodluck Jonathan, to supervise the implementation of the programme for the ex Militants.

He equally called for the review of the seven-point agenda to two; mainly power and security of lives and property of Nigerians.

Bishop Ipinmoye gave the advice at the 10th synod of the church at St. Paul’s Anglican church, Odode-Idanre, Ondo State .

The Cleric urged, “the government and its agencies to put in motion, necessary instruments for the implementation of the post- amnesty programme. The programme should be such that will ensure that all the former militants were gainfully employed. No effort should be spared to enhance the physical development of the region to encourage peace and guarantee full security of lives and property in the oil rich region.”

Speaking on 2011polls, he urged the National Assembly and the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC,  to put aside selfishiness in order to conduct a flawless election in the country.
