THE Transition Committee Chairman of Nnewi North Local Government Area, Prince Chukwudi Orizu, yesterday, said that the incumbent governor of the state, Chief Willie Obiano will get the bloc vote of Nnewi because of his administration’s gestures to the people of the area.

He said this in an address he presented to the people during the visit of the LGA by the wife of the Governor, Chief Mrs Ebelechukwu Obiano, who was on an empowerment visit to the council area.

Prince Orizu said: “it has been resolved by the community that the town’s vote would go to the incumbent governor so that he can complete his eight year tenure and continue his developmental stride.”

He noted that Chief Obiano has given Nnewi North Local Government Area a fair share in his infrastructural development efforts and that sons and daughters of the industrial town are also remembered for political appointments, in his administration.

“Nnewi community will be interested in gunning for the governorship position when power shifts to the Anambra South senatorial zone in the next political dispensation, and we will ensure that a son of the soil gets that seat.”

Mrs. Obiano who gave some empowerment items to women during her visit, thanked the people of Nnewi for their continued support to her husband noting that better days lie ahead, and urged them to vote massively for her husband.
