The youths had at a town hall meeting on Monday at Tourist Garden, Otuocha, Aguleri, Anambra East Local Government Area, expressed concern over the dithering procrastination to confirm Nwoye as the party’s candidate. The mood of the youths, however, took a pleasant turn yesterday as newspaper reports confirmed the NWC’s decision to discard the petition filed by Senator Andy Uba against Nwoye’s emergence.
Speaking yesterday with Vanguard in an interview, leader of ODIANYI, Comrade Tony Obiora Okafor, said that the youths in Anambra North went into jubilation on hearing and reading that Dr Nwoye has been cleared by APC for the election.
According to the ODIANYI leader, it is not yet Uhuru, we are aware that Dr Nwoye’s detractors will come up with another allegation, and all these are aimed to distract him from preparing and facing his campaign for the election, “but we are assuring him of our support and urge him to be focused, there is the hand of God in his emergence as the APC candidate.”
While thanking the leadership of APC for being firm in their decision in spite of all manipulations to change Dr. Nwoye, he reminded the party that they should not be surprised to get more petitions and complaints against Dr. Nwoye by the people they described as failed politicians who have nothing to offer the state.
